two-minute concerts in Little William Theater // Hammer Museum
Chris presents his project FERMENT; a precursor to his collaboration with cheese-maker, Sue Conley of the Cowgirl Creamery.  Incorporating field recordings of John Taverna’s Dairy and the Cowgirl’s facilities, Chris examines the process of cheese-making from agriculture to affinage.  Spatialized sound in the Little William Theater with samples of artisanal cheese. [Mt. Tam and St. Pat to be featured.]

3/10 Pomona College
I will be a gust artist/lecturer at Pomona College, Thursday March 25. I’m very happy that Mark Allen invited me to come visit his Sound Art class and teach about graphic notation. He is a real swell guy, and bakes a mean ham.
While I’m at Pomona, I’ll be making an appearance on KSPC radio to talk with Rachel D and DJ Space Cadet on their show Gachan Gachan . I’ll be talking about sound art and my current work with the Machine Project. TUNE IN: 4-6

3/10 Curator of Sound Programming
I’m now working as a curator of sound programming for the Machine Project. This job has come as part of a 2010 residency at the Hammer Museum (UCLA), and is made possible by a grant from the Irvine Foundation. Needless to say, I’m super psyched.
There are a number of current projects that I’m curating, and even more that are soon to come. We are at the Hammer every saturday. It would be great to see some follks come out to visit!
thanks,
-chris

1/10 welcome
Hey all~
Welcome to the new website.  It is new and improved—in the sense that I will update it (my last site was a monument to my achievements of 2008).  I hope you all stop by and check out the projects and events pages—much is happening in 2010: Residencies at the Hammer Museum and the Goldwell Open Air Museum in Death Valley.  Collaborations with a cheese maker, performances at Machine Project, and a concert series in a coat closet.  its going to be a moderately entertaining time.
thanks.
